My good friend, Philadelphia-based filmmaker Brittany Rafalak recently launched a teaser for her upcoming short film ‘Consumption‘ which features one of my piano compositions ‘The Ladder And The Soul‘.
Brittany describes ‘Consumption‘ as “a near-futuristic short film about a society where food has been outlawed. The main character, Corinne, discovers food and grapples with the feeling of hunger in a world where it is considered barbaric to satiate oneself by consumption.”
Over the next 5 days – until this Friday February 28th – Brittany and her team are running an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds for the film and I’m trying to help get the word around so that she can move forward with the production. Making any film involves a huge amount of work and resources, but when a film presents ideas that make people stop and think, the effort is worth it.
If you’d like to know more about ‘Consumption‘, contribute to the film’s production (and receive many wonderful gifts) or just help to get the word around, you can visit the official campaign page at: indiegogo.com/projects/consumption-with-live-improvised-score/x/4974781
And please give a ‘Like‘ to the Consumption Facebook Page: facebook.com/consumptionfilm
