The Bewley’s concert series continues

In a week’s time, I’ll be returning to the Bewley’s Café Theatre in Dublin for show number 2 of this five-concert series. The world-tour of Grafton Street continues! I’ll be posting more on that tomorrow. (tickets can be booked in advance by emailing

My first show at this lovely little venue 3 weeks ago was honoured by the dazzling musicianship of clarinetist/saxophonist Keith Donald, who brought a veritable hurricane of notes to songs like Dark World Bright, Rapa-Nui and The Great Divide. As a founder-member of one of Ireland’s most influential bands Moving Hearts and chairman of the board of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (not to mention chairman of the board of Burma Action Ireland too) I felt like I was sharing the stage with a living treasure of Ireland’s musical heritage.

Thanks for an unforgettable musical experience Keith, and thanks to everyone who came out to Bewley’s on the night. Great to see you all.

You can learn more about Keith at and you can also hear him play on the video below:

More tomorrow about the upcoming show at Bewley’s on Friday June 3rd!
